Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Istanbul | Welcome

You will be met by your guide at the Istanbul International Airport (IST) and transferred to your hotel. After checking into your hotel, you will have some time to relax.

Free leisure day afterwards. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul Tour of Old City Istanbul | Sultanahmet Square, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar

After early breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up around 08:15-08:45 for full day tour. We will first visit Hagia Sophia, the Church of the Divine Wisdom, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th. century by Emperor Justinian. Afterwards, we visit the Blue Mosque, facing Hagia Sophia, famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. Right next to the mosque is the Hippodrome, center of sportive events (chariot races, athletics) and political activities of the old city, where we will see the Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and German Fountain of Wilhelm II.

The day will continue with the Grand Bazaar, most attractive shopping center and the biggest “souk” in the world with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets, leatherware and souvenir. After lunch at a Turkish Restaurant, we will visit Topkapı Palace, residence of Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, sacred Islamic relics of Prophet Mohammed, kitchen, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy section etc. Live guide commentary is not allowed in special sections. (Harem is not included in the program) Sultan Tombs, there are five tombs of Ottoman Sultans within the graveyard at Hagia sophia. The ceramic panels are the most beautiful examples of the 16th century with purple, red, green and blue flower motives. Prince robes and a small piece from the Kaaba covers are displayed on the sarcophaguses. Tour end around 17:00, drop off to Hotel.

Overnight in Istanbul (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 3: Istanbul | Tour of Old City Istanbul | Bosphorus Cruise, Spice Bazaar, Pierre Loti Hill, Eyup Sultan Mosque, Miniaturk

After early breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up around 08:15-08:45 for full day tour. We will first visit Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar), mystical smells of different aromas of various spices. Shops selling fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers etc. Bosphorus Cruise, through the waterway separating the two continents, Europe and Asia, with a possibility to take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments. Rumeli Fortress (from the boat – no interior visit), historical armament built by the Conqueror to control and protect the Bosphorus. Lunch at a Turkish Restaurant.

Eyüp Sultan Mosque and his Tomb are the most sacred sites in Istanbul after Mecca and Jerusalem where thousands of faithful people visit everday. Eyüp El-Ensari was the flagbearer of Prophet Mohammed and died here during the Arabic siege of the city in the 7th. century. Teleferique (cable car) to Pierre Loti Coffee House among the green which is located on a hill with beautiful trees where you can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Golden Horn. The coffee house takes its name from Pierre Loti, the French author and poet who was very fond of Istanbul and wrote as he sat in this coffee house enjoying the view. Miniatürk, “a story land”, the most influencing open field miniature park exhibiting scaled models of the most known masterpieces which create a fairy tale environment of Istanbul, Anatolia and the former Ottoman territories. It reflects the revival of Turkish culture and history in all its magnificence.

We will then return to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 4: Istanbul – Bursa | Tour of Yalova

After breakfast and check out at your hotel, we will depart to Bursa en route to Yalova.

Situated in the northwest of the country, Yalova is one of the most fabulous Turkish cities. Frequently visited by tourists from every corner of the globe, it is little wonder why people make their way here. With history that stretches back into prehistoric times, stunning natural beauty spots and vibrant cities, it certainly is well worth exploring. Because of its rich history, Yalova has become incredibly wealthy in terms of its culture, traditions and attractions. One of the first things to do in Yalova is to pay a visit (Not included the tour) to the thermal spas of Termal. Located around eight miles south of the city, the hot springs have been used by the inhabitants here since the Roman period and then reconstructed by the Ottomans.The spas contain sodium chloride, calcium sulphate and fluoride and remain at a pleasant temperature of around 57 to 60 degrees Celsius. For centuries they have been used as a means of relaxation, healing and cleansing.

After Yalova, we will drive to Bursa. Check in to your Hotel and Free time afterwards for relaxation.

Day 5: Bursa | Tour of City of Bursa | Uludag Montain

After early breakfast, Full Day Bursa City and Mount Uludag Tour.Tour of the magnificent Bursa, one of the former Ottoman Capitals. First, the day will commence with a visit to the central historic area of Bursa, where you will visit Ulucami (Grand Mosque), the Green Mosque and the Green Mausoleum (from the outside). You will also have the chance to tour around the old Silk Market and the Covered Bazaar. We suggest you to try the original iskender kebab for lunch. We will then drive to the 600 year old Inkaya Plane Tree, where you can take a small coffee break while enjoying the amazing scenery and the sound of fresh mountain water. We will then drive up to Mount Uludag, and stop at the first stage for a short while. Prepare to dress well, as it may be colder on this small plateau on every season. In the evening, end of the tour, drive back to your hotel.

Day 6: Bursa | Tour of Bursa Surroundings, Said Abad and Ottoman Village

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to village of Cumalıkızık. This village is one of the best preserved Ottoman villages. The traditional village of Cumalikizik, with idyllic countryside setting. Here you will enjoy a stroll around the charming old village center and see the wooden Ottoman houses of the hospitable locals.

In the evening, we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Bursa. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 7: Bursa – Istanbul | Free Day

After Breakfast and check out at the Hotel, we will drive back to Istanbul. Upon arrival to Istanbul, check in to your hotel. Free day afterwards for your leisure.

Day 8: Istanbul | Departure

We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning after your breakfast at the hotel. You will then be transferred to the Istanbul Ataturk Airport, from where you will board your homebound flight. (Breakfast)
